Update packages several times in a 24hr period.
Component updates happen only when changes to the program are pushed out. UI adjustments and bug fixes are examples.

As long as my gears are turning, how does McDonald's number their receipts?
Someone is front of me in line might order a Big Mac Combo and get a receipt numbered 210.
Then, I will be right behind him and order a 6 piece Mc Nuggets meal and my number might be 318.

Why isn't mine 211; or he is 86 and I am number 87?
How do they define the receipt numbers?

1.0.15660 is the version of the malware definitions file. The list of trojans, worms, viruses, etc.
1.0.770 is the version of the component package. The software code that has been updated for the main MBAM version 4.0.4.49. The "patches" if you will.

The free version doesn't have real time protection. It has the same scanning engine though.
