@f14tomcat - it would be great if you could write that up (heck, just copy and paste ) that into a thread over at the MB forums so that the staff there can read your comments.

This would be the place to do so: Malwarebytes 4.x Beta - Malwarebytes Forums

I'm not trying to be a jerk, I'm being very serious - the staff and devs need to know these things that affect you, and others out there may also have similar issues with some of the things that you brought up.

    Please consider it.

Added my two cents, really not a fan of the beta design.

Thanks, both of you. I'm not a designer, so I don't know the ins and outs of design and consumer approach-ability, but I do know that readability is definitely a part of design.

Though we do have folks like 1PW and others from the MB forums here (myself included), posting there gets the direct attention of the devs and the staff.

I finally gave it a try. Add my $.02 worth.

Fonts are okay for me, guess I'm younger than you old foggies or at least my eyes are. Did not like the childish look at all.
Speed was okay. Haven't looked at options yet.

After I installed Beta 4, Windows Defender was turned off. Don't like that at all.

Turning this off in MBAM Beta 4 settings will sort that out.

It is off (by default apparently).

I did an install over 3.x and it was not off there so perhaps that was the cause?

yeah, installing over 3.x is causing all sorts of issues. They recommend clean installing. And, as tom noticed by reading through the posts, also by deactivating your license in 3.x prior to uninstalling it (or using the cleanup tool on 3.x).

Do not use the cleanup tool for 4.x yet until further notice.

Since you're already there, though, you could try enabling it, rebooting, then disabling it and rebooting again and see if it sticks...

It is off, was off after the install of Beta 4.

I had it on in MBAM 3.x so the default for MBAM 4 seems to be off.
