AFAIK MBAM would turn off WD in Security Center only if using the Premium version or if the 14-day Free Trial was underway. Was the free-trial forced during the update despite deactivating MBAM PremiumTrial?I uninstalled MBAM after this last software update(not definitions, but the program itself update), as I got sick and tired of it, forcing the 14 day trial and making changes to my AV selection in Windows and turning Defender off and no choice during the install to say respect my previous settings.

I had deactivated the free trial a long time ago and MBAM has not offered it again during updates. I only use MBAM as an on-demand scanner. I run the program whenever I feel like it and when done, I quit the program from the system tray application. The only issue I had post update was MBAM not honoring the "Start with windows" setting that was set to Off, which is due to a glitch in the update program. The fix was simply to turn the switch On and Off again to re-register the setting.
