I use the free version and updated two machines to 3.7.1.2839 yesterday. Now, malwarebytes starts with windows on both, despite disabling the feature in settings
Anyone else have this issue?

That is normal operation in the Malwarebytes 3 free edition. The Malwarebytes icon will populate the system tray for your convenience. If that is undesired, you may quit the Malwarebytes application.

I think I'm going to give up on Mbam altogether. First thing, I haven't had anything for it to do in many moons, either I'm good or lucky. It's also became too obtrusive, can't just run it and close it, hre's what's left after closing it:

Seems I was wrong about the app starting with windows, the tray icon only appears at random some time later. Does this mean only the tray tool is in in the background, not the whole application itself?
Even if I quit the application, the tray tool reappears some time later too. Very strange behaviour Ive not seen before having used MB free for a long time.
