    Component Update 3.6.1 v1.0.527 released
Greetings Malwarebytes community, we have recently promoted a new components package for our Windows 7 and later Users.

    • This new package addresses a reported freeze on Windows 7 computers that related to Web Protection on multiple core processor configurations.

The new components update is being metered out and will be installed automatically in the background (providing the 'Automatically download and install application component updates' setting is enabled). To install this immediately from within the Malwarebytes user interface, click Settings > Install Application Updates.

Don't know if you track this or not but I just got a notice that Malwarebytes Adwcleaner 7.2.6.0 available.

Looks like it's been around for awhile and the download has been failing. I have

    adwcleaner_7.2.6.0.exe
    adwcleaner_7.2.6.0(1).exe
    adwcleaner_7.2.6.0(2).exe

in the download folder but I'm still sitting at 7.2.5.0.

Edit: Ah ha. No install, just run it after download. All set now at 7.2.6.

I had your same "Ah Ha" moment @Ztruker. One of the members here had to bring me up to speed on it.

Something that I was not aware of, but if you go troubleshooting MB3 on 1903, make sure you read this and acknowledge if you plan to make use of the tool to cleanly install MB3 (hint: It doesn't help, so don't waste your time going through the motions of cleanly installing using the tool, for now anyway).

If you've never used that tool on your system to cleanly install MB3 before, you should be golden, and can grab the logs and submit to help figure out what is going on.
