Having just cleanly installed April (2018) Update, I'm kinda loathe to install 3.5.1 - the 3.5 ßeta kept throwing build 17661 into GSODs (failure on mwac.sys, a part of MB 3.x) whenever I scrolled through images in my Pictures folder or was watching videos online.

But, I can't stand not being protected, so....

    Here goes nothing....

    [info]WHQL Version 3.5.1.2522
    Release Date: May 8, 2018

    Download: Malwarebytes 3.5.1.2522

    Release Notes: Malwarebytes 3.5.1
So, I just downloaded the recent version from the shortcut I already had on my laptop.

    It says I have 3..4.5.2467.

But, I am only running the free version.

Is the version you referenced the free one or do you think that they have already changed it again, since the 8th of May?

Open Malwarebytes on your computer. Click on Settings on the left side. On the Application tab which it opens to by default, there is a button there. Click it where it says Install Application Updates. That will download and let you install the newest version.

If for some reason that fails and Malwarebytes disappears, then come back to this thread and click the download link you quoted and install it from there. This is a rare bug that happens when updating. It should update for you with no issues. I just posted this in case that happens, you will know what to do.

I appreciate your help. I downloaded the new version as you suggested.
There is a 'rollerball' at the beginning that says it is checking for updates and I thought that was all I needed to do.
I'll start checking the applications link more frequently.

Do you know anything about Bitlock Recovery Keys ?

I ran across them last night and I have to re-enter them every time I re-start the laptop now.

    Thanks

Malwarebytes has a Beta Component Package update (1.0.367) available to solve a few problems.

A new Beta available through our in-app Beta channel has just been released. This one aims at solving lingering web protection BSOD's that some of our Users experience under certain circumstances. We will be working closely with them to validate and /or improve our results.
