It looks like they used the consumer MB 3 to work out the bugs and now expanded it to the Business market with more enhancements.

MB 3 has been working great on my systems since the last release but others are still reporting issues.

I would love to see some independent testing against other security products.

I've just started using MB 3 premium trial but I'm still slightly confused, is MB 3 meant to be a stand alone AV? Does it replace my current AV or is it still mainly malware/ransomware protection?

How exactly does it's web protection and exploit protection work? Does MB 3 application hardening conflict with programs like EMET which do the same thing?

Does the Malwarebyte's tray application have to always be active for all of this to be working?

I wouldn't run MB3 as my sole protection. Despite what MB say I think an AV is also needed. Windows defender should be sufficient so it won't cost you any more. I don't see why you shouldn't hide the MB3 tray icon but you won't get any notifications if you do..

I think I would feel comfortable leaving WD running. Can't find the option to hide the tray icon but I don't mind it...

So is anyone aware of any conflicts with other anti malware apps?

What's everyone's opinion on premium is it worth it to you?

The only other AV I have experience with is Norton and that runs with it without problems.

I have a lifetime licence so it is definitely worth it for me and with all the ransomware going around these days you need something other than a conventional AV.

I'm not sure I would feel comfortable with just WD running to defend against these latest attacks. Like Kado, I also have a lifetime license for MBM and consider that my main defence.

MB 3 does look very good, I'm using CryptoPrevent as well... Do they only offer 1-2 yearly subscriptions now?

So I notice after installing MB 3 Premium trial a few days ago (pheww, petya...) that Chrome is very slow, initially slow to open and then occasionally new tabs are quite slow to load the default google search page. Could multiple apps (EMET) running DEP Enforcement on Chrome cause and issue like this?

P.S. I was not not running Malwarebyte's at all, I just hadn't switched to the newer MB 3.

MBAM Premium Real Time protection with Defender is a pretty solid combo. No conflicts and is a real junk yard dog. It's worth it.

I definitely notice some interference in Chrome since running MB 3 with new tabs opening slow along with increased CPU usage while doing so. Any ideas on that?

Edit: So on a clean boot with MB 3 enabled to run at startup Chrome takes 30-40 seconds to open and almost appears as though it has frozen. A brief google suggests this is heard of but requires further investigating...
