Finally after other members pushed MB a little, they gave an answer.

    https://forums.malwarebytes.com/topic/211618-new-cp-10207/

For the record here's a list of changes for the 1.0.207 update:

    • Numerous enhancements to detection and remediation
    • Improved driver management
    • Fixed issue on XP where Firefox would crash when self-protection was enabled
    • Closed connection to AWS that did not need to be left open
Some may still be having problems with XP and Firefox but MB is still looking at it.

Just started my MBAM 2.1xx and it "tricked me into installation of v3 which I don't want, Reinstalled 2.1 and again it's asking to update to 3.xxx. Are they "killing" v2 ?

What I hate about the new free version is, I use the beta version of MBAE(anti exploit), and after every MBAM3 update the new MBAM uninstalls it(because the PAID version has it built it). I then need to reinstall MBAE,

So that means I'm sentenced to v3 ? Might as well get used to it. I don't need all those options payed version has and only need effective scanning and eventual removal of PuPs.

Yep, and the RS3 comes with an anti exploit to now, although the stand alone beta from Malwarebytes is much much easier to configure. Much easier(and probably worlds better).

Another thing I do not like about MB3 is when using the rootkit scan option, I have had several BSODs on all three computers and a VM, where as with version 2.2.1 iÍ never had one.

Full scan is much faster now and v3 is more or less stable now. I have to admit at one point I was thinking about looking elsewhere.

Do you suspect that you have a rootkit?

Other than then the legit ones that are suppose to be there, you mean?
Like Defender, system & hardware monitoring software(i.e. Intel RST, Aida64, MSI Afterburner and so on).... no I do not have any malware rootkits:)

Hello. Windows Defender did something nasty to my machine and now I cannot access the Internet through any browser although my system shows I have connection. Just get the nutty "This webpage is not available" with "DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN"....
