I notice that on a scheduled Threat scan the Heuristics scan takes just a few spins of the icon but on a manual scan set at high priority it takes a lot longer and looks normal.

Do you see this on a manual scan or just on a scheduled scan?

I opened a thread at MB.

Don't have any scheduled. But on manual, at either High or Low priority, it's a quick spin < 1 sec, and done.

For me its only on the manual scan, on a scheduled scan, its runs longer. A manual scan only takes about 44 to 45 sec's for complete scan. A scheduled scan, takes about 1 min and 37 sec's roughly ...Big Difference. Also Rootkit is enabled.

The default setting is for a manual scan to run at high priority and can be changed to low priority with the available option. I believe the scheduled scans are run at low priority by default.
It's not the overall time we are concerned with but the time that the Heuristic takes. You have to watch the Heuristic Icon during the scan to see a difference. It's a pia to stare at it.
