Priority for manual scans option added to new Beta 3.1.0.1716. Also looks like Scheduled scans run at Low priority.

Here are my scan results on my W10 desktop. All scans had every thing checked. 371,000 items.
Ver 3.0.6.1469* Scheduled Scan 2:53 min CPU hit 95%
Ver 3.1.0.1716 Scheduled Scan 9:40 min CPU hit 30%
Ver 3.1.0.1716 Manual Scan Low Priority 9:16 min CPU hit 30%
Ver 3.1.0.1716 Manual Scan High Priority 3:46 min CPU hit 95%
Scheduled Scan must be at High Priority on 3.0.6.1469 and Low Priority on 3.1.0.1716.
I like it like that and if I need a faster scan I can change the Priority to High for the Manual Scan,

Thanks, Jim! That is excellent news for my poor i5 lappy! You could fry an egg on it during a manual scan! Is it just Low and High? Or are there options like in taskmanager?

Just tried it this morning. Just low & high TC. Works great at reducing the CPU usage.

Thanks, Keith. Think I'll give it a go. Can it be installed over, or does it need a clean?

EDIT: Never mind! I just read post #1 and the release notes.......:)

Just froze up this machine in the Install process. At 8 minutes, nothing was working. Even Task Manager wouldn't load. A hard shutdown managed to get me free. Think I will just leave this one alone for now.

Sorry to hear that, Clayton. Maybe an un-install and re-install would do it. Possible you had something messed up already in the current install, and it got sick.

Did a test on this priority thing. Seems when MB says Low Priority, they really mean Lower Priority. I fired up a manual full scan on C: so I would have time to check taskmanager. It was running at normal priority, not low. Both the UI and service. Check this yourself to verify. If true, that's ok with me! Took 16 minutes, 200674 items.
