You have to look at Component Package Version and you have 1.0.75 which is the latest release version.
MB is releasing Beta versions with new Component Package to fix some bugs.
When they get it stable they will update the release version with the new Component Package.

I did a clean install of MB 3.0.6 CU4 (CP 1.0.96) and it killed Firefox. It would load header and toolbars but then just spinning trying to load a page. I disable Exploit Protection for Firefox and it worked fine.

I went back to CP 1.0.75 and Firefox works OK.

Triple boot - Win 10 Pro, Win 10 Pro Insider (2) - (and a sprinkling of VMs)

MB 3.0.6 CU4 (CP 1.0.96) working fine, as in no crashes. Has not negatively affected FF or any other browser. 2 things I have noticed. Scan (w/out rootkits) seems to take about twice as long, with noticeable pause around 200,000 and 300,000 files scanned of a total 400,000. These are my file counts, of course....just giving a reference. Was scanning in under a minute, now 2+. Second thing, leftover...been there a while...is the occasional timing issue of all the protections getting enabled. Usually Exploit is late. Yellow pop-up and about 10 seconds later, it fixes itself...but pop-up won't go away. Have to manually close it. No show stoppers, but the pop-up is annoying. No setting will avoid it.

Well I am NOT running MB's beta versions, and I am also not letting MB startup at boot, I turn it on manually.
I have everything on, and a full scan takes me 1.15 mins I have no issues with FF or Chrome.
I do have the same delay's with MB's protections getting enabled, but MB does eventually turn them on.
Pic below, showing how long it takes to run, and how many files scanned ......

I've gone back to the old 2x because I cannot rely on 3 working properly.

Is it quirky on just the faster system, or both?

Its just quirky. When build 1469 came out it ran nicely for 3 weeks then modules suddenly stopped working and wouldn't load.

Interesting, by looking at your spec's we have the exact same Intel chip, and same MB ....I am running Windows build 14393.969 thou. Not running any insider build, and MB runs fine here. Only thing I do is run MB manually, I don't start it up at boot.

I've been running MBAM component package 1.0.50 for several weeks without problems, although updating to 1.0.75 caused BSODs again so I went back to .50. Installed the latest, 1.0.96 today and no problems. Beginning to look like they're finally getting some of the bugs worked out of it.

MB 3.0.6 CU4 is now released and no longer a Beta.

    https://forums.malwarebytes.com/topi...atest-version/

Hi all— Just wanted to let everyone know that we’ve started pushing out a new component package update. You should receive this automatically if you are running 3.0.6. We are metering these updates out, so you may not receive yours immediately.
If you prefer, you may download any install our "updated" mb3-setup-consumer-3.0.6.1469-1096.exe installer from this link. This installer is posted and available from our main website. If you already have an earlier version of Malwarebytes 3.0.5 or 3.0.6 installed, we recommend that you uninstall the old version first and then install this newer version (please make a note of your key before doing so).
Once installed, this update will show on your Malwarebytes 3.0 About screen as Component package version: 1.0.96.
(NOTE: if you already installed the preview of CU4 / 1.0.96, there is no need to install again.)
    The fixes included are:

    • Fixed issue where real-time protection modules do not enable correctly
      • Note that you may need to reboot or manually restart a protection that appears "stuck" one more time after the update is applied. Those who still have this issue should continue to work with us directly, as these cases are likely caused by conflicts with other security products.

    • Fixed Bad Pool Header BSOD while web browsing
    • Fixed issue that could cause user to have to login with a temporary profile instead of their standard user profile
    • Additional enhancements to improve memory usage
    • Fixed issue where 3.0.5 could revert to version 3.0.0 in certain conditions
    • Fixed numerous crashes, including service crashes
    • Addressed several vulnerabilities
    • The Web Protection block page now redirects to https://block.malwarebytes.com
    • Fixed issue where Web Protection would not re-enable properly after booting back from minimal safe mode on Vista
    • Numerous enhancements to overall protection and remediation
    • Jim
