Finally got the guts to make a final decision on MBAM. After months of messing around with problems, system slowdown, etc, while using it, I am tired and frustrated. For me it's not worth my time and effort and this is my point to move on. I am uninstalling it and not looking back even tho I have 3 lifetime licenses. Good luck to you folks who are continuing to use it - I hope it eventually works out for you, but my life is too short to continue problems I can avoid. Bye, bye MBAM.
Why not just use version 2 till July and revisit it then. I personally have no issues but the product will improve in time. Just turn off the program updates in 2 and sit back and wait for the dust to settle.

I took that attitude for 2 months - but continued to have issues. For me there comes a time when it's just not worth my time or effort. Others may feel differently, but that's my decision. :)

I wish people would close their mouths and open their ears, makes it so much easier to hear what others are saying if one isnt yakking away...

I myself have availed myself of the advice to give it time and while I have removed malware bytes from my own system in the end, I was quiet whilst doing so.

    MBAM 3.0 and av-comparatives.org - Malwarebytes 3.0 - Malwarebytes Forums

Another unannounced bug in MB 3. This is a quote from Exile360 (Admin at MB Forum)

As for using Defender or MSE, do keep in mind that there is a performance issue between Microsoft's free AV and 3.0 that we're working on fixing at the moment which can cause system slowdown issues, particularly during system boot and especially during shutdown (sometimes shutdown is slowed to the point where it takes several minutes before the machine finally powers down and we've seen a few instances where it just hung the machine trying to shut down indefinitely, requiring that the machine be forced to power off via the power button). We're working on this issue, but for now I'd recommend choosing a different free AV solution if you have a customer that requires one, such as Avast!, Avira or AVG; all of which should work alongside Malwarebytes 3.0 without issue.
UPDATE: This quote was from Dec 2016 but no mention if it has been fixed.

I have also noticed that this newest beta, consumes 302.7 MB of memory. Look in your task manager. (MalwareBytes Service) That is way too much memory being used Jim
(This is at an idle, when its just sitting on the task bar, doing nothing. )

Hello. Windows Defender did something nasty to my machine and now I cannot access the Internet through any browser although my system shows I have connection. Just get the nutty "This webpage is not available" with "DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN"....
