    Yes thanks gents.

I did have that set to 60 secs before I did this latest update but it looks like it got reset when I updated.

I have now set the delay to max of 3 minutes.
    We will see.

Boooom same red triangle on the task bar MB icon.
    Checked services all set.
So turned off MB and back on.
Then opened MB to switch on Web protection but this time all 4 were switched off, web - exploits- malware and ransomeware???
Checked the 3min delay on startup was in place, it was.
So turned off AVG for 15 mins.
Then did a complete machine reboot.
It came up and turned all the above 4 back on so then I turned AVG back on and all is good again.

Had a windows update yesterday so not sure if that is connected.

Not really sure what to do. I suppose I should register it with MB and see what they say as I've not done that yet.

I'm committed to MB as I have used it for years and have the paid for version.
However I've never had these sort of problems with MB before and am beginning to lose confidence.

    Regards

If it is a problem with a conflict with Avast I wonder if not registering it in the Action centre may help.

Yes I understand what your saying, as lots of people are having different issues with MB3.0 It acts up on me too, so your not alone. This was released way too early in my opinion. We should be getting another update to fix some of these issues everyone is having ....just going to have to wait.

    Thanks gents.

Well some good news this morning......so far.
After the recent Windows update and resetting the MB it worked this morning. I powered up this morning my AVG ran the start was delayed by 3 mins and every thing came on correctly.
    So far so good.
Don't think it is anything I have done more likely a combination of different updates.

Hopefully it will last and stay ROCK SOLID.

    Thanks all.

Very glad to hear everything is running as it should. Congrats Barnaby. :) MB should be releasing an update soon to fix some of the issues their having.

I had a silly this morning. The tray icon was showing no protection but on opening MB everything was OK even though the tray icon still said no protection. Restarting MB fixed it.

I'm going to copy and paste here what I wrote this morning over at the Malwarebytes forum:

Just FYI, I've had Malwarebytes 3.06.1469 running well for about a week after having problems with various protections in previous 3.0 versions not working for which I've been in contact with support. This morning I'm greeted with MBAM showing I should upgrade or activate my license which had already been done when installed for the who knows number of time. Then I'm greeted with the attached message after typing in the license information.

Then I uninstall and reinstall 3.06.1469 and don't need to type in the license information as it is inputted automatically I guess from the Windows registry. If this occurs again I don't think I'll bother reinstalling as a malware program should instill confidence and cannot do that when it exhibits flaky behavior.

Happened again today. Open MBAM 3.06.1469 and it has reverted back to the free version and all the real time "protections" are disabled. Uninstalled and went back to 2.2.

Wordsworth I'm sure I've read something on here or google about that problem. Not much help but you may want to search for it.

Ref my own difficulties with MB3 it has again failed red triangle certain it is due to AVG as switching it off and rebooting MB3 cures it.
In the short term I can live with that as I'm about to take on some new protection software probably Kaspersky.
Here's hoping that will work better if not I've had some practice at fixing it.
