Latest Installer from MBAM shows ver 4.6 yet installs 4.5 again. Anybody else seen this? Search comes up empty.

This type of question is asked every couple of months. That “File version” field, though somewhat incongruous to some, is used only by internal Malwarebytes teams and should be normally ignored.

Instead, the “Versioning Information” display, produced after installation/update, is what the client/user should refer to.

Thanks, that helps to explain. I don't want to get OT, but the only reason I asked is I use a 3rd party app updater (PMyPC) that flagged it as needing updating. Obviously it does not need it, and the 3rd party got "tricked" as it were.
