Sounds like they may be getting close to the 2004 slowdown fix.

Interestingly enough, my new rig with WinX 2004 with MB running on it is not experiencing any real noticeable lag, even when I play games such as Need For Speed: Heat or Mass Effect: Andromeda (I've only got a GTX 970 Video card, but the rest of the rig is as listed in my system specs).

I do see, however, that at any given time, the CPU usage is at least 7-8% - even when it should be idling down to almost nil. I chalked that up to all the support apps I have installed for my new hardware - but I'll run a few tests to see if it is MB really causing that >5% usage.
