    Im using Malwarebytes Free. With the new version Im seeing Mbamtray.exe not working in Reliability History every time I run a scan. The scan is done perfectly without issues but I always see this entry after a scan in Reliability History

    I have seen that before, and had it happen to me. If you got to the 4.0.4 version thru an offered update in the MBAM app, it may have not updated totally correctly. Since it's the Free version, try uninstalling it completely (Revo Uninstaller or equivalent best way), and just start fresh with a clean MBAM install.

    looks like it did it on my scheduled scan this morning too. The timing suggests the start of the scan. Seems to be working OK though. Let's see what happens with tomorrow's scan.

    Thanks for that tip. I downloaded it from their official site though. If/when it happens again I will try an uninstall and a clean install to see if it sorts it out

    If you have a scheduled scan running then it looks like its happening on the paid version too. Im going to give it another chance on my next manual scan in a few days and see if it happens again. It is something Ive seen happen before but it was intermittent then

    It is better to use Download Malwarebytes Support Tool

    To clean uninstall and reinstall.

    Forgot about that, you're right. MBAM is one of very rare vendors that supplies a good workable uninstall tool, and actually offers to put you back to normal with a clean install afterward. So used to going the Revo route because 99.99999% don't, and leave unmentionables behind. Thanks.

    No issues with this morning's scan so just one of those things. I'll keep an eye on it.
