Well, that sucks! Maybe it has to do with the Windows Action Center setting...

    Hi,
Not sure what register in action center even means really
Does that just remove or show mbam icon in the action center

I think they are referring to the Windows Defender Security Center.

I think it's meant to be a way of letting WD know it's there so it can leave it alone. See above post.

    Hi,
Shouldn't WD be for the most part disabled with only periodic options ... mbam premium it is an antivirus now :)

The update a coupla weeks back changed my settings from Never register to (recommended) and shut down Defender with Win 8.1 in UEFI. Didn't do it on MBR. Yesterday on the MBR Puter Malwarebytes started turning itself off, but it didn't affect the one on UEFI. I've got Lifetime Premium and about a year ago I had to uninstall it to be able to use IE. Waited on a new version and hadn't had any problems until what I posted above. Their updates are getting as bad as Windows

I've delete my reason Mike. It was wrong according to an earlier post. MBAM premium has pretensions to be a replacement for an AV not an AV as such. V3 was announced as a replacement for an AV which everyone ignored.

That's what I presumed going by the way they started promoting it. MBAM (Correction: MB - Since they've dropped the Anti-Malware part in the UI) works in mysterious ways

    Hi,
Apparently mbam premium does qualify as an av for windows to disable WD that I've noticed
    I don't bother with mbam in win-10 seeing I hardly use 10.
