I'm testing Panda free on my Test Box W10 OS right now and so far, so good.

What i don't like about W10 (RTM build) Windows Defender:
It runs a daily scheduled scan (i want a scheduled scan to run 1-2 times per week).
It scans when the PC is idle, and stops if the PC becomes not idle (i move the mouse).
Then it re-starts the scan later when the PC is idle (and stops again if i move the mouse).
With the built-in WD scheduled scan task it is a pita to override the default settings.

By default, it does not have an icon in the notification area, or a right click context menu option.

For me Panda is very light weight and ultra quiet if news is turned off.
No pop-ups, no nags, and i can schedule scans as i prefer.

Maybe things have changed with newer insider versions of W10 WD, i don't know.

Malwarbytes shouldent conflict with anything ....that's the first I've heard of that maybe ( never seen it either )

Maybe whoever is saying all that is mis informed or looking at or having another conflict and attributing it to the above wont be the first time somebody did all that .

    I'm using mbam free & mbam Anti-Exploit & mbam Anti Ransom-Ware beta .

mbam paid is mostly just mbam free with more features enabled but the same engine under the hood.

OTOH Maybe Mbam should come up with Anti-Nagware for Windows 10
Ah thanks! I did not know that they would not conflict. Hmm, do you think I should ditch AVG? Or is AVG and mbam a good pair? But that is a lot of security protection, never know when that might come in handy.

Panda Anti-Virus? Never heard of that, but it sounds good. Tell us more of what you think of it.

Off-Topic here: I saw your multi-boot, and nice job! Wow, three different OS's, just wow! :)

Avast free here. Used it for many years now and its always taken care of business for me. Tried a few others at various times, Panda, Bitdefender ,AVG just off the top of my head, but you just can't beat Avast for ease of use and protection. IMHO of course. I back it up with Malwarebytes (free) and SuperAntiSpyware (free) and between them I've been as safe as its possible to be online........ considering my surfing habits. I AM thinking of going "Pro" with SuperAntiSpyware and/or Malwarebytes though.

IMO I didn't like Avast! Free. I didn't like how it was set up. I would prefer AVG anyway But this is my opinion, if you like Avast! then you like Avast!; it all depends on personal opinion and that's probably why we have so many different anti-virus / anti-malware programs. I really don't think there is one that is better than the other, I think they are all exactly the same. But when you get into Malwarebytes, there is nothing to compare.

    Story time :
On Saturday when I was going for a crack (I wish I so wouldn't have did it! I regret it so much! ) It added at least 30 threats to my system, Malwarebytes. If I did not have that program I would have been infected and probably got all of my stuff stolen. AVG only found 1 threat and I had to restart to apply. Now my system is free of clutter and it deleted the malicious programs. I would say Malwarebytes has a 10/10 and AVG 7/10 for me.

I've primarily been using Avast free for many years, reliably.
The recent "issue" where Avast has started silently auto installing optional tools without user permission hit me.
That prompted me to start testing alternative products again.
imho, Avast is very complicated to configure, settings are scattered about, hard to find, and difficult to understand.
I use it, but it does take time to check everything, especially after a program version update.

I've been using Panda free on W8.1 for 1-2 years now.
For me, it's been very reliable and much simpler than Avast.

I replaced Avast with Panda on my test box W10 OS, and so far it's working well.

I've got AVG & Mbam & the others Mbam stuff I Mentioned earlier on 3 win 10 PC now here it's better than the current Avast nagware anyway and tests better in independent testing than Windows Defender

That being said I have WD and the Mbam stuff on this I mentioned earlier here and it maybe works to a point

A Ransomeware page got into a Chrome tab yesterday (at a legitimate web site) that no resident code AV program will probably stop anyway short of maybe a good real time web shield with *that specific malware definition* in it but both of my Mbam web shields passed it in anyway and I had to close the browser in task-man and re launch it and go about my web stuff .

TBH a resident code virus quarantine/scanner is not the best protection or virtually no protection against malware now outside of good real time malware web protection (if it isn't included ) thats out of date virtually every 10 minutes anyway (clean) back ups or a new clean install are the best insurance and paying for one beyond AVG free is an exercise in futility IMO and some very prominent people up to multinational banking IT CIO's I know very well will say the same thing about PC's
