    Safe To Restart PC?

I have a Windows 10 Pro PC that I use for development mainly. I was rushing and needed to lock a file for testing. I downloaded and installed EaseUS LockMyFile (Powerful File Lock Software to Protect and Safeguard Sensitive and Important Files and Data - EaseUS LockMyFile), which required a system restart. During the restart, I panicked and thought to myself "Do I 100% trust this program?" and the answer was no. I turned off the internet and turned off the PC.

So my question is, what is the safest way to proceed? Does anyone have experience of this program and know it to be safe, in which case I can simply turn my PC back on? Or I was going to reinstall Windows 10 from a bootable flash drive, including a format of the C: partition? Is this enough, or might I have to do more?

My real concern is getting any problem with the data, which sits on a different drive and is also (mostly) on OneDrive, so I could if necessary wipe most of my data and re-download it from Microsoft. I do, however, have some other mostly older files
that exist only on my PC and so cannot be wiped and re-downloaded.

Any advice at all would be extremely welcome.

    Kind wishes - Patrick

PS - I cannot get the precise Windows version number because I don't want to turn on the PC.

I think you would be quite safe in restarting, declining the registration process, and then uninstalling. Unless the program is broken, nothing should be lockedor encrypted at that stage. I believe they are a legitimate company, but have not used this program. You may care to wait for someone who has to respond...
