hey, about babylon: if you are talking about the translation software that translates selected words when you hit CTRL+right mouse button, then good for Norton! Because it is not malware. It is a very useful program.
True, MBAM flags it as a potentially unwanted program, probably because it acts intrusively, as it gets inside Word and Adobe Reader and other programs as well (this is so you can do one-click translations).
But I can assure you that if you installed what I installed, it is a great piece of software that saves you a lot of time. I have been using it professionally (I am a translator) for about 10 years, now.

The AV that catches the most "viruses" is not necessarily the best one, because it may be presenting you with a lot of false positives.
One would think he is referring to this: Remove Babylon Toolbar (Removal Instructions)

    Hi All,
I was using the Windows Defender product that comes built-into windows 10, it seemed to work ok..but as I'm the type of person who likes trying out new thing's ( I'm an 'active' Windows Insider that's using Windows 10 Pro. Build # 10576 ), I downloaded / installed this offering: http://www.360totalsecurity.com/
It seems to work pretty well, and it's a 'free' offering, the total security has a lot of nice feature's included with it, they do however offer just a anti-virus product that's free as well : http://www.360totalsecurity.com/en/f...ity-essential/
Has anyone else in here tried this offering..and if so, how are you liking it ?

I have used 360TS and 360SE (the cut down version)

    pros of both:
strongest behavior blocking you can get in a free anti-virus (this is important for protection from ransomware)

runs light on system, is configurable.

    cons of both:
you have to place your trust in the Qihoo company, which has a very poor reputation for honesty.

the malware signatures are good but not the best. The bitdefender and avira engines will update a day or two later than they do for real BD and Avira users.

advantage of the full program: you get the program updates much quicker
advantage of cut-down program: you are saved from the bloat of the full program, which is full of utilities that are of dubious quality.

i used 360 internet security for long time in the past but it seemed to slow my pc very much after ~2 to 3 months of using it + i've read somewhere that the maker of this software,Qihoo, had very bad reputation in China, for sure tho it was the best antivirus software i used and it was free, havent used it since like 2014 so i can't really tell if it's good today or nah
