    Bitlocker


    Im using Windows 10 1809 PRO. My bitlocker encryption uses TPM + PIN. I'm trying to set it so that after 5 failed attempts, it locks for 5 mins, then I can log back on. But it did not work that way. I did get the warning of "Too many PIN entry attempts" so the lockout must have kicked in. Any help is appreciated.

    This is what I configured in the GPEDIT:

    Standard User Lockout Duration = 5 mins
    Standard User Individual Lockout Threshold = 5
    Standard User Total Lockout Threshold = 6

    Aren't those options for standard not admin users?

    The Total Lockout Threshold did kick in after 6 failed attempts while I was trying to log into regular ADMIN account. So its not just for standard not-admin users ?

I use Bit Locker encryption on all of my Thumb drives that contain personal data. Has anyone else of late, noticed the slow down of Bit Locker USB full encryption process. 7-8hrs to encrypt a Sandisk 128 GB Thumb drive is ridiculous.:(
