Defender's DetectionHistory Folder Undeleteable

Hello,
Sometime ago, wrote to you about how to delete Defender's "DetectionHistory" folder.
In one answer I got, was mentioned the "UVK" program.
Since then I used it and it made the job.
Right now made three attempts with this program and all three failed.
Here it a copy from the log file:
"2024/04/30 20:50:04 Deleting C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows Defender\Scans\History\Service\DetectionHistory...
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows Defender\Scans\History\Service\DetectionHistory could not be recycled. Access to the file was blocked."
Is there some more powerful tool to remove that stubborn folder ?
Answers will be appreciated.

Well, it asked for a reboot, answered yes and.. it worked !

Only one note: In "Properties" of the file, there is nothing mentioned as "Unblock", please see attached screenshot.
But it worked.

Depending on your browser's security settings, some downloaded files or scripts won't get Blocked.

I mentioned UVK. It still worked for me if I select the option to delete on boot. I think you must have tried that. See the screenshot in this post. Note the checkbox.

If that did not work and you got access denied (on boot) then I don't know why. Maybe you would need to turn "tamper protection" off temporarily but that's just a guess.

It seems that the folder is now better protected so although UVK can delete defender scan history on boot so can the modified script mentioned here:

It seems that you can use that at least for now.

Also, downloaded files will not be blocked if your Downloads folder is on a non-NTFS volume.

Or possibly if you disabled saving zone information. (That's what I do).

How to Disable Downloaded Files from being Blocked in Windows
