You could backup (copy) the profile folder to a USB stick then uninstall that version then install then get the regular build.

Latest Firefox released for Windows [2]

However if something screws up it would be a case of manually restoring some files from your profile backup.

It's more trouble than it's worth. Just stick with what you've got.

    pop up malware

A month ago I had a crash and re-installed Windows. I then installed Firefox but do not recall the path. After the pop ups started, I tried to uninstall Firefox using Revo Uninstaller, but neither "Firefox" nor "Mozilla" appeared in the Revo list, nor in the Windows uninstall process. I will take Callendar's advice and leave it alone, but what do I do if I ever need to uninstall Firefox for another reason?

    Thanks

Did you read my reply saying if Firefox was downloaded from the App Store then it’ll be under Apps when using Revo? Did you check?
Did you follow my suggestions to clear cookies, cache & history?

In Revo Uninstaller (I don't use it) Firefox should appear under "Windows Apps" list. That's in the left pane.

Or just check for updates and see if it is on the list:

Check for App Updates in Windows 10 Store

You could also run Geek Uninstaller Portable Free:

    Geek Uninstaller - Download

See if that finds it. In the interface you'd need to select "View" > "Windows Store Apps"

I do not remember how or from where I downloaded Firefox.

I do not understand what you mean when you say "under Apps when using Revo". Attached is the entire list I see in Revo. I do not see "Firefox" or " Mozilla" or "apps". I do see "Application" at the red arrow, is this what you mean?

I had not cleared cookies, cache, and history; but I just did so.

    Thanks

Click Windows apps tab. It should appear there if it was downloaded via the App Store.

I just installed it as a test. The installation folder is here:

    C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Mozilla.Firefox_125.0.2.0_x64__n80bbvh6b1yt2

    The uninstaller is here:
    "C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Mozilla.Firefox_125.0.2.0_x64__n80bbvh6b1yt2\VFS\ProgramFiles\Firefox Package Root\uninstall\helper.exe"

I'm not sure why it doesn't show up in Revo unless it's a registry issue.

    Thanks for the screenshot.
If you tried deleting Firefox by removing folders then this could explain why it’s not showing.

    pop up malware solved

    Callendar and Bastet:
I just stumbled upon Firefox listed in Settings/Apps and Features. I un-installed it by clicking there, then re-installed it from Mozilla. Now Firefox appears in Revo, so I feel comfortable that I can uninstall it if I ever need to do so.

Thank you both for your help
