Windows Security Always Detect audiodg.exe as virus-screenshot-2024-04-11-105525.png

Any expert know why my Windows Security always detect audiodg.exe as virus everytime my Windows 11 start.
This pc I am using it in my office is Windows 11 Pro version 23H2 OS Build 22631.3347 and using Realtek High Definition Audio for my speakers.
Please refer above for the Windows Security image.

But for my home pc got no such issue as I am using JBL Quantum Duo speakers and not using any Realtek audio.

Thank you very much for any help.

    Hi EddieTan.
According to malwaretips, the legit “audiodg.exe.” resides in the system32 folder, not the program data folder. See Below:

I know audiodg.exe is in Windows system32 folder but don't know why there is another audiodg.exe in my programdata folder and Windows Security always detect it as virus everytime my PC boot.

You asked "why" in the topic header.
Did you even read the link?
If you want to get rid of it, that "should" be easy enough. Please explain.

Defender is identifying as malicious because it is in the program data folder.
Download and run (as admin) "autoruns". Remove the checkmark next to audiodg.exe in the program data location, Reboot.
If the warning goes away, delete audiodg.exe from the program data folder. It is not supposed to be there and shouldn't break anything. If it does, restore it from the recycle bin and tell defender to allow it if your absolutely sure it's not a virus. From here, it appears to be one "dude"

"C:\ProgramData\WindowsTask" doesn't appear to be a legitimate Windows folder. So this file is probably suspect. You might want to check if any other files exist in that folder.

    Upload the file to:

    VirusTotal

    If it comes back clean:

ClearDefenderHistory | Clear Windows Defender History Files

If it's clean and still a problem add an exclusion.

Add or Remove Microsoft Defender Antivirus Exclusions in Windows 10

    Defender Exclusion Tool v1.3

You should really ask your workplace's IT support about this.
