    Most antivirus programs require their removal tool... MacAfee is one of them...

    The procedure I use to remove pre-installed McAfee on a new laptop when the trial runs out is to visit the McAfee registraton page, then exit without registration.

    Then uninstall in the usual manner. Recently the MCPR tool seems to be unnecessary but the MCPR tool is here if you need it.

    Browser extensions which can easily be removed but the MCPR tool should remove everything.

    REvo Uninstaller allows you to totally remove; cant remember who pointed me th this but it darn well works - whoever you were
