Unwanted security warning when accessing favorites contact list

I recently installed a fresh copy of W-10 Home version 22H2 in my other machine and this security warning now appears on both machines when ever I try to open a contact. If I click yes it then opens the contact I had selected. I turned off SYNC on both machines. But it still is on both machines which operate thru the same router.

It [strangely] thinks your contact has been downloaded from the internet and is responding as it should for a downloaded file.

If you right-click on the Contact & select Properties, does it show an Unblock checkbox as in the example at the start of this tutorial?

I have not seen this problem before.
Your description of your setup seems quite normal.
@Brink - Have you seen such an incident before?

I also wonder if your Contacts files have been corrupted.
Your diagram does not quite match anything I've seen.
The 'Unknown file type' bit says that Windows does not recognise it as a Contacts file.
    Do you have a backup?

    Hello Denis,

Odd. Did the .contact file come from an external source instead?

Sometimes you may have to unblock from any external source, and not just from the Internet.

Unwanted security warning when accessing favorites contacts list

I had a new copy of W-10 on my Dell 3847 in Jan 15-2024. Worked just fine.
I put a new copy of W-10 on my Lenovo K330 on Mar 23-2024 and it worked just fine.
I synced the two machines to copy files from one to the other and it worked just fine.
BUT I now had the unwanted security warning only on the favorites list on the contacts list on both machines.
I turned off sync on both machines. but the warning was still there.
I had a backup favorites contact list on a thumb drive. I deleted the favorites contact list on the Lenovo and reistalled from the thumb drive. Security warning gone. Tryed it on the Dell and got the same results. Lets see how long it lasts and if the results will be the same when both machines are online at the same time. Thanks for the help. Arnie

    Well done,
    Denis

    And welcome to TenForums.

It's really worth making time to browse through the Tutorial index - there's a shortcut to it at the top of every page.
    - At the foot of the Tutorial index is a shortcut to download it as a spreadsheet.
    - I download a new copy each month.
    - By downloading it as a spreadsheet I can benefit from Excel's excellent filtering capabilities when I search for topics of interest.
    - Tutorials are also listed by category at Tutorials - there's also a shortcut to that at the top of every page.
    - Both tutorial lists are searchable.
    - You can also search for TenForumsTutorials in many general search engines, such as Google, by adding site:tenforums.com/tutorials after your search term. For example,
    taskbar toolbars site:tenforums.com/tutorials

You can search TenForums using the search box in the top-right corner of all TenForums webpages or using Advanced Search - TenForums
    - You can also search TenForums threads in many general search engines, such as Google, by adding site:tenforums.com after your search term. For example,
Search for drivers by HardwareID site:tenforums.com
    - [This is what the search box in the top-right corner of TenForums webpages does automatically]
