I have five items in my Protection History that are either already gone or pointing to quarantined virii. Performing a clean or remove action on them does nothing, from what I have read Quarantined items are supposed to "go away" after a time. I can't even manually delete the quarantined gunk, the folder "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows Defender\Scans\BackupStore" is protected, I tried changing the security permissions but that is also blocked out. So I can't get rid of the quarantined crud, and the other results are pointing to nonexistent folders.

My Question-slash-Dilemma, is there any way to clear those items out of my protection history? Anyone know of any powershell trick that might do it? I did try a search here, but I was unable to phrase the search so that it would give results.

I am attempting to post an image of this, ok this is what it looks like. I ran Hitman Pro several times, it's not finding anything deadly at this time. I have been the victim of more ransomware attacks on Windows 10 than I had ever had on Seven... 10 TB of my valuable files got turned into either Adami or Leak.DB. This time, since I had my Facebook and Google and Paypal and bunches of pages up, they got into there with size 15 Doc Marten Steel Toed Boots. Apologies for the slight Tome™
