    getting the 0ld ox2 windows defender task scheduler again


    so here's the thing sometimes when i search facebook on firefox i accidently click on fake link that starts with sponsor=fake virus scanner user i close window when this happen back on 18th at the time i couldn't close it and i forgot that i should had in task manger end firefox and i thought it was microsoft edge computer got lock up

    i don't think nothing happened i ended up had to instead restart i right click and shutdown had a voice saying shutdown or do anything stuff will happen yada yada i was able to log back in after shutdown and turn on computer upon restart

    i'm not sure but windows security scan i think before this happen or afterwards<-i did restart but i never got notify windows action center so i did quick scan on 18th 2:52 am and i did get notify saying it ran 2 times no threats

    i supposed to had gotten notify next day but didn't if you manually do quick scan i did look at task scheduler it did 0x2 again<-haven't look in a long time now it did do a quick scan sun/i look at it mon but when i open up windows defender it still say last scan on 18th and its still doing 0x2 part since this morning 12:10 23 am

    so am not sure what to do now i know that sometimes windows security will change to yellow saying it want to scan haven't yet

    i'm think about going to before friday possible today or tomorrow restart computer and leave it alone surely windows defender will go back doing 0x0 instead 0x2 am not sure what is going on

    everything else seems to work still get definitions and i got notify apc powerchute ran a self test main reason is i don't understand why getting 0x2 windows defender ever since that day happen when i shut down compute despite same day i restart i did accidently when it on it again but firefox seems to block it so i haven't seen it when type in facebook anymore

    i know i talk about this long time ago windows defender task scheduler 0x2 issue and it finally resolved itself so i don't think when that fake virus scan came up and what i did last weds is reason why doing this again perhaps i need to also do a quick scan and leave computer alone not mess with it

    on my mom computer she gets windows defender 0x2 error sometimes<-last that scan was on 17th on windows 10 i also got windows 10 btw do you think i need to install malwarebytes or not? now i don't know about windows updates because i haven't seen any new windows updates since week before i'm sure i will still get notify and have to restart computer when i get one i guess

    I use BitDefender Traffic Light.

    I can't answer your question on Defender scanning but you could download and scan with Microsoft Safety Scanner which uses the same definitions.

    Microsoft Safety Scanner only scans when manually triggered and is available for use 10 days after being downloaded, then expires afterwards. It is recommend that you always download the latest version of this tool before each scan.


    That means that it doesn't update so if you need to rescan you need to download again.

    so i did restart my computer yesterday and finally 12:38 am in morning it scan normal 0x0 again however i never did get notify in window action center

    now i know that if i do a quick scan it will come up my question is is this normal that if you restart computer when windows defender scheduler scan on 0x2 but finally it goes to 0x0 when not in idol however once again i didn't get notify


    i know that if i do a quick scan it will notify me saying no threats found viruses scan 2 times and i assumed as long as i don't restart and it scan good it will prob notify me notification center

    however my question now that i restarted computer and it scan next time it does a scan correctly if i leave computer idol it will notify me and i don't have to actually click on quick scan manually to get it working eh

    i look at past posts that i did on here seems happen before so i guess see what happens next time does a scan right and i don't get notify summary scan afterwards then i do a quick scan get notify hopefully it will notify me like usually again
