    Eliminating McAfee Total Protection

I have a new Windows PC and it came installed with McAfee Total Protection. I uninstalled that and use a combination of Malwarebytes and Bitdefender.

I am experiencing a McAfee pop-up that says I am infected.... renew your subscription... warning warning... and I cant get it to go away and when I press any button on the pop-up Microsoft Edge appears with this address: posqueshnes.co.in

I scan with Malwarebytes and Bitdefender and they say Im clean. I cant get the nag screen to go away and there is no app to uninstall because Ive already uninstalled it. How do I get rid of this headache?

It's nothing to do with McAfee or MacAfee

    See:

Post a screenshot of the pop up so that we can see if it's a pop up or maybe a web push notification. If the latter see New Microsoft Edge (Microsoft Edge on Chromium) Step 6.

    EDIT: Corrected above link

EDIT: The link refers to fake Macafee notifications but step 6 is for any site that is currently allowed to send notifications that you want to remove.

Your system will scan clean because there's nothing malicious to detect or remove. You've allowed notifications on some website and it's serving up those notifications.

Okay no response so let's make this really simple. In Edge's address bar copy and paste:

    edge://settings/content/notifications

    Press Enter.

Remove the offending website or else post a screenshot of what you can see in that window.

Did you use the McAfee uninstall tool ?

In some cases it may be necessary to reinstall McAfee and then uninstall. May need a System Restore to reinstall if needed.

Also, after uninstall good to manually check the registry and system folders to eliminate traces.

With respect I'd point out that it's nothing to do with McAfee (installed or removed) software.

It's a web push notification and it's not generated by McAfee.
