    Windows 10 Snipping-Tool security risk?

So I read one or two places
    Snipping tool has security vulnerabilities.

    I don't recall why?

I assume uploading or sharing snipping tool screen shots
is a risk because it stores some information that can be tracked.
    Is this the concern?

What can you tell me about this.
Should I be seeking out alternatives that are more secure?
    So called. Thanks.

    Hello

I think the main problem with the vulneraiblity isnt the Snipping Tool itself, its the other programs and services which come with it.

The Group policy settings for the Snipping tool, is actually linked to the Tablet PC settings and other programs linked to Pens and Touch screens.
Some hardware functions for touch screens allow Back-ESC Mapping and can possibly track your browser usage and Token allowance.

Id have a look in the Group Policy editor. For both Admin and User the same locations apply. Disable or Enable any Tablet PC items you dont want running.

    Local Computer Policy /
    Computer Configuration /
    Admin Templates /
    Windows Components /
    Tablet PC

    Local Computer Policy /
    User Configuration /
    Admin Templates /
    Windows Components /
    Tablet PC

8 Folders inside here. Go through each folder and study what the software allows.
The only thing i allow in Tablet PC folder, is the Snipping Tool, everything else is turned off.

    Good luck
