How to Scan with Windows Defender - in Windows 10

    How to Scan with Windows Defender - in Windows 10


    Is there a way via a small program, that I can Right Click and Scan files/folders prior to opening them using Windows Defender?

    I was able to do it in win 8...

    Right click any File or Folder and choose Scan with Microsoft Defender. AKA Windows Security
    If you want to scan the whole system, Right click Windows Security one of the Hidden Task bar items, Run a Quick Scan

    1) When you right click on any folder/file, does this not show:
    How to Scan with Windows Defender - in Windows 10-image.png

    2) Do you have any 3rd party anti-virus software installed?
    Such as McAfee, Norton, etc...
