What I find most interesting on this site is this:
    malware on HTTP: 495
    malware on HTTPS: 72
This makes me wonder whether it would be wise to block HTTP all together and visit only HTTPS enabled sites.

However I don't like that they don't test AVG since other 2 sites (AV-comparitives and AV-test) report it on same weight as Avira :/

I do it for years and it is getting better, especially since Google is slowly deprecating support for http.
I also block port 80 in the firewall, I want to limit an unencrypted traffic for security and privacy reasons.

Avast is AVG, so there is no reason to test both. Theirs results are always identical.

my browser extension is blocking HTTP but is giving me an option to continue if I want.
Problem is that there is still a lot of useful HTTP sites.

I whish there to exist such feature to open HTTP sites in virtual browser session automatically.

Ah didn't know, so they share AV signatures.
Do you know if they plan to make AVG program obsolete at some time? (ex. keeping only user base and workforce)

I use a portable browser for that, unpack into ramdisk, browse, remove, so no malicious content left, hopefully.

Definitely not, many do not know that they are the same, giving the users the illusion of choice, besides Avast has a bad history. Anyway they are all turning into one company, NortonLifeLock bought Avast/AVG, Avira and others.

Sounds very interesting, but makes sense since MS took their market share considerably, it wouldn't surprise is they all join forces.

Actually Broadcom owns all of those not Symantec.

Are you saying that all the non-MS security brands are now owned by NortonLifeLock or Broadcom? (Wowzers!!) Talk about market consolidation.

My impression is that Symantec now sells only enterprise security products, and that they sold off the consumer products to the company that owns LifeLock? Yes? No?

There is no more Symantec as it was before. Broadcom aka GenDigital owns Norton, Avast, LifeLock, Avira, AVG, ReputationDefender, CCleaner. 2019 was when the company was split into two entities.

    @bro67

Scary to see such market consolidation. I hadn't realized that LifeLock is part of this new (to me) GenDigital. Since I'm a long term Norton Security customer, I'm really pissed at how Norton is now slicing-and-dicing to wring more $$$ out of me.

Is GemDigital the last man standing? Is Microsoft Defender the only real alternative to a GenDigital product?

So what is wrong with this? You have the freedom to choose who you want to use. I stopped using anything Norton well over sixteen years ago. No one is forcing you to use GenDigitals products. Microsoft Defender is one of the best rated solutions out there. Defender was based off of Sybari's software RAV.
