Windows q0 is telling me Antivirus is turned off but it isn't

I use Avira AntiVirus and have for 15+ years. lately I have been getting the notification below. You can see in the second screenshot you can clearly see that my Avira is on and working fine, why is windows 10 doing this and how can I make it see that I use Avira??

Does it say anything useful in
    Control panel,
    Security & maintenance,
    Security?

Think you need to be a bit more specific, lots of interesting things in all those places but nothing that explains why Windows can't see I clearly have Avira so I am protected.. This is a repeat reply I addressed above. I'm confused

I had not realised that the dialog concerned had changed.
It used to show the status of various bits itself rather than just redirect you to what you posted.
It used to show, for example, this

    Sorry.

Is your Avira platform up to date? Perhaps other Avira users have reported similar problems in their forum or in other threads on this forum?

Yes Avira is updated, in fact if you look at the screenshot above it had just updated a few minutes before I took the screenshot. The problems by others with Avira and Win 10 is that recent?

I was thinking of the Avira program itself rather than its malware definition updates.
Perhaps reinstalling Avira might solve the problem.

I do not know if others have Avria problems. i was suggesting that you have a look around to see if they do.
