    This is why I hate when some apps/tools get "updated." LOL. You get used to something being in one place for years & then suddenly they change it all around.

    My solution is twofold. First, I reset the scheduled scan task to once a week--That's reasonable for me. Second, I unchecked Windows Defender CCleaner's Applications > Utilities. So far, so good.

    Good to hear, lets hope it stays all good. :)

    I usually run CCleaner every night when I shut down or sometimes during the day when I've been to sites involving personal info. I might d/l the new one & see how that plays out with the automatic monitoring. It sounds convenient.

    Me, too! I do exactly the same thing! I'll probably fiddle with (or delete) the task setting I created to see if simply unchecking the Windows Defender item in CCleaner does the trick alone.
