My solution is twofold. First, I reset the scheduled scan task to once a week--That's reasonable for me. Second, I unchecked Windows Defender CCleaner's Applications > Utilities. So far, so good.

I usually run CCleaner every night when I shut down or sometimes during the day when I've been to sites involving personal info. I might d/l the new one & see how that plays out with the automatic monitoring. It sounds convenient.
Me, too! I do exactly the same thing!
