    BitLocker Windows 10


    Can someone tell me how to bitlock a USB stick on windows 10 and will it still work with windows 11? I have right clicked the drive and there is no bitlocker encript option.

    Hi just found that home edition dosn't support bit locker. Does this mean that a USB drive which is bitlocked can not be read?

    Windows 10 or 11 Home edition can read a BitLocker encrypted drive just fine. It only lacks the ability to initialize a volume with BitLocker. You can also write to BitLocker volumes in Windows 10 Home. You just cannot perform the actual initialization.

    You can instead of BitLocker use Device Encryption which might suit your needs.

    There are also many other ways of encrypting a drive without using BitLocker, Like VeraCrypt.
