There's no company that has programmers that make games that steal your data...
Are you sure about that? What about keyloggers?

    ...Be careful about pirating.
...and try not to discuss too much about the pirates,
Understood. Thanks for the heads up.

I think you need one downloader box then boxes for each individual game in order to keep your games safe from cross-contamination.
Hi there... would you mind explaining that? Sounds interesting yet I dont fully understand. Looking forward to your response.

The most secure way is to have 2 disks, each with an OS installed on it, then simply swap disks as needed.
This is not only cheaper than having 2 PC's but also there is no risk that virus or whatever will transmit over network to another disk since it's offline.

    Hi there.. appreciate the reply.

Wow.. your suggestion sounds very damn good! So just to be sure. when you advise swapping 2 disks (with their own o/s, of course), you mean having 2 different disks in the same PC. Is this right?

Yes, but you'll never have them both attached to computer, one of them is always detached and thus offline, away from PC..
there is no way one disk would infect the other and you're safe for cheap price, the price of a new SSD.

    edit:
the only drawback is that you'll have to have your case open to be able to connect\disconnect disks.
the disk should not be external USB or anything like that, but a real SSD.

    Hi,

Is there any way for the PC to disconnect the banking HD or SSD without manually disconnecting it? Its pretty inconvenient to physically open the case, connect then disconnect the HD/SSD then close the case again. Theres gotta be a way.

Use a front-loading HDD/SDD caddy for 3.5/2.5" drives. For example, the IcyDock DuoSwap MB971SP-B.

    Described as hot-swappable.

    Hope this helps...

An even safer option is to connect a second router via ethernet cable (LAN from main router to WAN port on second router). Then connect games pc to primary router, and Banking pc to secondary router. This way the games pc cannot see the banking pc (in effect a new firewall protecting banking pc).

Wouldn't that have the same effect as merely having a single router & designating the network as a Public one so that the computers could not see each other?

I think if you have to choose between trusting software vs trusting hardware, then trust hardware

Malware may put your network to private profile, but malware can't get out of a PC and do anything to your router on second subnet.
