All of this stated in their Terms of Service is pretty much like a "cost of doing business" in terms of digital goings on with the project. But unlike Google's MASSIVE spying and from other companies, you can opt out here as is written. Besides, no one would use or contribute code this third-party phone OS if it was anything like Google, Apple, et al. Not only that, but this stated ToS is VERY small. No, just no. Just because Android is Google's open source ARM-based OS doesn't mean there's Google in it. It's a platform to build upon and that's what LineageOS and the others have done. Think of it as a framework like Chromium. Chromium is used for lots and lots of things. Even the Spotify desktop client I believe. Chromium is open source and can be used by anyone for any purpose.
