I'm going to stick with AVG (I generally prefer this over Avast) and Malwarebytes.

I will stay with Defender for a while but eventually I think I will go for ESET once again :)

When Win 10 goes final I'll probably go with ESET also. I already use ESET on my Windows 8.1.1 computers.

Am running with Windows Defender plus Mbam Free.
Defender did not prevent Trojan.Agent.Ed installing itself, but Mbam Free on a scan neutralised it.

I was going to use Defender but after two years of using paid F-Secure I think I'm going to use up one of my spare licenses on W10. I'll give Defender a trial run on bare metal and see how it goes but I'll probably replace it in the long run.

I think going that rout for you is a great idea. For me, I like Defender but I will consider a pay AV when they get certified for Win10.

I'd highly recommend F-Secure Jeff, it's lightweight, non-intrusive and does its job to a very high standard. Obviously if your browsing and downloading habits leave a lot to be desired it's not going to be foolproof, but on a near two year evaluation on my part it is exactly what you require in an AV. I've only ever personally seen one instance of F-Secure causing a BSOD too (other debuggers may well be able to attest to more) but given the regularity of other AVs causing BSODs that's a phenomenal record.
