Did you wait a day for the first method to take effect?

Why do you need to clear it anyway?

    Hello,

Just to confirm, did you restart the computer afterwards?

Your method didn't work Brink, so I decided to wait a few weeks to see if it cleared on its own, but it hasn't.

I was told that the history would clear after 15 days but that doesn't seem to be the case.

    Any more advice?

I'm out of ideas as well since it should have cleared.

    I appreciate your honesty.

I read on another forum that in order to delete CFA history, I need to delete the mpenginedb.db file from:

    C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows Defender\Scans\mpenginedb.db

However, to be able to delete this file, you need to use something like this:

Delete.On.Reboot 3.01 Delete files, directories, folders at reboot

or delete it from the Windows Recovery Environment.

What do you make of this?

I've never used a program like that before. Is it safe? Do you recommend any other similar programs?

Also, since I'm not at all familiar with Windows Recovery Environment, I should probably avoid that route.

I haven't used anything like that either.

I'd recommend creating a system image backup first to be extra safe if you do try it.
