It's not malware. Just turn off the notifications (which you had previously allowed).

    Thank you for your reply!

If this isn't malware then what is it??? Why didn't Windows 10's inbuilt anti-virus detect it even after I did a full scan of my PC????

I disabled "display notifications" earlier, but I think all that did was just stop the malware from appearing in the bottom right hand corner of my screen and not actually remove it?

Is there some very good reason why you won't try my six-click solution?

    It's not malware.

    Have a read:

    https://service.mcafee.com/?locale=e...l=article-view

You must have clicked "allow notifications"

Push notification does not come from your computer,

The link you clicked, created an authorization to receive notification from the site that is spamming you. (Walkets.Click)

Following NMI's advice and disallow push notification for Walkets.Click, is the only steps you need to do.

I'm following your solution now. I needed to close my current web browser so that I could start Microsoft Edge because I don't have much RAM to run both at the same time.

    EDIT:
Once I carry out your solution and restart Microsoft Edge will I be safe to install new apps and uninstall older apps I no longer need?

Is there anything else I need to do?

It's just a push notification. Blocking notifications from that site or removing them doesn't affect anything else.

Optional: You could clear browsing data and browser cache (if you don't need history).

    In Edge press [CTRL+SHIFT+DEL]

So it's just called "a push notification malware" and not "malware"?

Just so it's clear for me as my PC's security is extremely important to me, I can install new apps without any chance of this "push notification malware" infecting the new apps I install? I ask because I'm going to be installing new web browser apps.

Is there anything else I can do to make sure my PC is 100% safe?

Thanks for being patient with me...

Push notifications is just the browser handling notifications that you allowed. If you don't click on them and open the links there is no need for concern,

If you found and removed/ blocked the notification there's nothing to worry about. It hasn't installed any malware so your computer should scan clean.
