    Best internet security package

    Hi

After many years using Kaspersky I am looking to change now my renewal is due (won't go into details) ...

What is the best package out there for Windows 10? I have seen BitDefender gets good reviews :)

I use Bitdefender Internet Security. Been using it since 2013. No complaints and it works well with Windows Defender.
Has AV and firewall and Threat Defense, and about 13 other modules I don't use.

It's "normal" price is $34.99 / year. So don't think that it'll be $75 next year. It'll still be $35.
They also have 24/7 live tech support. Only two buttons to push, to get to a live person.

IMO, the best part of Bitdefender Internet Security, is that you can set the firewall to.... "block all".
Then just allow the things you want to allow.

    Hello, Stuard.

I can only speak of two. I used Norton Internet Security, without issue, until they became intertwined with Lifelock. At that point, I removed it.

Now, I use Windows Security and Malwarebytes Premium...along with common sense. And haven't had any issue.

I'm confident you will find the one that is best for you.

    Best Regards.

Why did you remove it? Call them and they will migrate you to Norton 360 with a free VPN.

    Define "best"

cheapest, lightest on resources, easiest gui, least intrusive etc.

There is always a trade off, and in the end, personal choice varies.

    Hi, Compumind.

Yes, I know. They spammed me almost daily, with the offer. I was about two months out from renewal.

That is one of the reasons I dropped it. Of course, the spam continued for a few weeks after it expired. Even offers of an extra thirty days added for free. By then I had already made the switch and knew I no longer needed them.

Not knocking Norton, they served me well. But Windows Security does equally well, for my needs.

    Best regards.

Had Norton thru Comcast/Xfinity because it was free as a customer. Big resource hog though, other than that no problem. When they broke ties on January 1st, 2021, I did not stay on board with Norton, way too expensive. Went with Trend Micro full version. No problems since. Now with the recent change in Windows, Defender runs alongside Trend Micro. Don`t care for it doing that.
