Hi All
I've been using Glasswire to monitor my computer,does anyone have a list of apps / Windows stuff, to block from being allowed to connect to the network through Windows Firewall,from a security perspective?
I'm thinking to use something like sordum Firewall App Blocker,..

I use Bitdefender Internet Security (which has a firewall). I block everything, except Firefox and C:\Windows\System32\svchost.exe
Anything else that wants access, I allow it only on a case by case basis. If Sordum has that ability, that's what I would use.
Back in the day I would use Zonealarm firewall the same way.

Thanks for that,..i guess that gives me a place to start.I think Firewall App Blocker,can block pretty much anything.
I'm referring to firewalls that actually have a setting: "Block Everything"
In my opinion, those are the best and easiest to use.
1. Set it to block everything
2. Add exceptions for the few programs you want to give access to.
Free version allows only to monitor, why not use something with a little more control?
Free Firewall is fairly simple, just allow/block.

Yes,i just implemented a firewall monitor process,as it goes, that came out of a discusion on another forum,..The problem is, that Windows can change firewall rules on it's own, unless 3rd party app prevents it.
Then make an entry in event viewer,to generate a popup,..funny how windows will allow changes in the firewall with no user input,..im happy with my settup,i guess,..just playing around with it so i can get a better understanding of how the firewall works,;-)PowerShell -Command "Add-Type -AssemblyName PresentationFramework;[System.Windows.MessageBox]::Show('WARNING: Firewall Change')"
