Security centre disabled, and I cannot turn it on.

    Hi.

Since yesterday I've been receiving messages that that the Windows Security Centre is not running, but I cannot turn it back on. I've gone to services, but the Security Centre is disabled, and the option to restart is greyed out. I don't understand how the service suddenly came to be disbled, but in any case need to be able to restart it. Can anyone help?

    These may help:

    - see what you think.

Or you could perhaps use a System Restore point if you have one available.

Many thanks, dalchina. The system restore did the trick (don't know why I didn't think of it myself).

Sometimes it's the easy things..! Glad it worked out. If you wish to have a restore point created on a schedule, there's a tutorial.
