    how can I get rid of "ask" please


    I have rogue "ask" attached how can i delete it please I dont know where it came from but it is directing me to sites I dont want to see....every time I ak question in my browser the ASK piece shows iup directing me Sadly I am not compter savvy and dont know if it is part of my windows setup or something that has appeared from nowhere ... sorry to appear so stupid Thank you

    Try this ASK removal guide on Malwaretips

    You'll have to remove ask software first.. Guide is well written, just follow the steps

    I see the Ask Toolbar show up as Malware in downloaded files, Windows Defender does good in allowing blocking or removing of the file/s containing it.

    I'm afraid that MS Defender alone won't do the trick.. ASK removal, scan with (Defender, Malwarebytes - recommended, and also ADWcleaner), and resetting the browser is necessary

    My comment was about "downloaded files", not the installation of them which would cause a different problem at the choice of the user.
