How to disable UAC on copy/paste files & folders?

    Hi,
How can I disable the UAC prompt for admin privileges on copy/paste file & folder operations to an external USB drive?
Really annoying to have to click dozens of times a day that UAC prompt popup window!
    Thanks in advance,

Sounds like this external USB drive has been used on another PC and has folder permissions restricting access to accounts from that PC only. Either that, or you are pasting to a folder that is owned by another account on your PC and for which your account doesn't have permissions.

Either way, looks like you need to change permissions and grant yourself full access that drive or, at least, to the folders that you want to paste to. And if this drive did come from another PC, then you may need to take ownership too.

You should add full permission to Everyone to USB flash drive.

Open the Command Prompt with administrative privileges and execute the following command:

    Code:
    icacls X: /grant Everyone:F
Replace X: with drive letter of the USB flash drive.
