How to remove (for good) rubicon project cookies

My Norton AV always detects this rubicon project cookie and deletes it, but the damn cookie keeps coming back. I use Firefox with the Cookie Auto Delete add-on, and CAD never detects this cookie.

A web search turned up lots of info on the company that plants this cookie, but nothing really useful about permanently removing it.

Thanks. I just did that opt-out. Next time Norton does a full system scan, I'll see if this cookie is still present.

Just because Rubicon may no longer track my activity, as long as that cookie is present, then other companies can use that cookie.

Well dam* it all, Norton did pick up a rubicon project cookie, even though I did that opt-out. So it must be some hidden program that got installed (by a drive-by download?) and I don't know how to zap it.
