For the last 2 weeks or so, I keep getting a pop up from MS wanting to verify it is me by asking for my pin. This usually happens right after start up, checking mail etc. then it will ask. I put it in and seems to satisfy the query.??

I have a similar issue. Last few days receiving Notification "There is a problem with your Microsoft Account. Please review and update" Requires me to sign in to account. However, when I go to my account there is nothing to update or any info on what to update.
Cursory search states this sometimes occurs when password is changed (which was recently).
"There is a problem with your Microsoft Account. Please review and update"
--- I suspect that isn't based on what Microsoft is updating, it's based on Microsoft accepting your update of having changed your password.
I'm curious: did you have to use your security code or was there an updated security code applied upon verification somewhere during the password being changed or or upon "There is a problem with your Microsoft Account. Please review and update"
The computers I have a password set on also have the PIN assigned, sporadically I've been asked for the PIN on all of them.
I get this sometimes for no obvious reason as well and I have not changed my password at all. I can see no obvious reason for this. l just think it is overzealous security check algorithms.
I think I might have something to do with using the same login credentials on more than one PC. Just a guess.
