Assume the OP is referring to the Microsoft Safety Scanner (link above).
What is the forum general opinion ?
This tool is rarely discussed, referred, advertised, etc. I have used on occasion, seems to do a thorough job.
I've often wondered about the MRT(Malicious Software Removal Tool).....I have run it many times on many different PC's over many years and it has never once found anything to delete from any PC.
So I just never think about using it anymore.
Microsoft Safety was recommended to me in here, I think by Dal. It is a highly detailed every single file scan, took 20 hours.
