Is it safe to click on the links in this Cybernews article?

I believe Cybernews.com is a reputable site but I just saw this article and wondered if anyone else thinks "Why would I enter my passwords to check if they have been breached?": -

RockYou2021: Largest Ever Password Compilation Leaked | CyberNews

In the article they write that "the data that you enter in the search field is hashed, and we use only this hash to perform a search in our database. We do not collect entered emails or passwords, nothing is logged when you perform a leak check."

I know there are other sites where you can check if your email addresses have been breached ( For example - Attention Required! | Cloudflare ) but checking your passwords seems a step too far.

Q1 - Anyone else seen the article
Q2 - Is it safe to enter passwords and email addresses.

Indeed and even if they the are trustworthy a bug could cause a leak, that is one of the ways passwords leak in the first place. Sometimes hackers steal cookies or hashes, they do not always need to know passwords.

8.4 billion paswords leaked is a lot of passwords and that is why one might feel pressurised to check if any of your passwords are in the list. Could this push people to enter passwords where they shouldn't?
Why haven't I seen this news elsewhere? Why isn't it all over the internet? Seems suspicious?

I checked my universal password and it is not listed, yet it was leaked at least 3 times and some webpages will not even let me to use it, because it was reported as such. So they do not have a big database at all.

Is this Cybernews article for real?

I changed the title because the previous title elicited only one response and I thought the subject matter warranted more interest. We are talking security after all and this Cybernews website is asking people to enter their passwords. It seems like fishing/phishing.

Maybe I am being paranoid so I'll call this 'Solved'.
