Malwarbytes Doesnt Let Me to Disable It - Help

I'm unable to stop services running by malwarebytes and cant set it to "disable." When I try to, I get a 'access is denied' message. What do i do?

I have no trouble using MB when I want to use it. I only use it for scans now I then. I never use it full time.

Can`t you just completely uninstall it ?

Do you have CCleaner installed ? If so disable MB from startup, then reboot the PC.

Most anti malware or antivirus, won't let you disable their services.
They need to be disabled from within the program.

If there's no option to do that, then you have to prevent their start up, like @AddRAM mentioned.

You can right click the Malwarebytes icon in the taskbar next to the clock and Uncheck Start with Windows. You can close Malwarebytes this way too.
If you have the Premium Trial, or Paid for Premium, open Malwarebytes click the Cog (settings) in the Upper Right go to the Security Tab, under Windows Startup, slide the button to the Left. Then Malwarebytes won't run until you start it.

Why would i uninstall it if I need it?

Sometimes if you uninstall a program, and then reinstall it, it`ll work normally and let you disable it from startup

No one actually needs Malwarebytes if you are careful when downloading things.

What version are you using ?

It sounds like you might prefer portable malware scanners.

But are these trustworthy as they scan your personal files ?
